October is recognized as Pregnancy & Infant Loss Month.  It was initially reserved for this purpose in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan.  The remembrance day is set aside to honor those lives lost at any point during pregnancy, stillbirth, SIDS and the passing of a newborn.
The Alachua County Perinatal Mental Health Coalition started a local Annual Memorial in October 2015 to recognize and support parents who have endured this loss; raise awareness in our community and provide a place for remembrance of those lives gone too soon.
The 4th Annual Event will take place on Monday, October 15, 2018 at:

Trinity United Methodist Church,
4000 NW 53rd Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32653
(Look for signs once you enter their driveway.)
This year we will take part in the International Wave of Light by gathering to light a candle in memory of little lives gone to soon.
6:30pm: Light refreshments, luminary activity for siblings/kids; butterfly tree memorial
7:00pm: Words of hope and lighting of candles for International Wave of Light
7:30pm: Conclude
Who should attend? Parents/siblings/families, advocates, caregivers, medical staff are all encouraged to attend.
Cost: FREE, this is a free annual service for the community.
